We photographed the gorgeous Jewish wedding of Sophie & Aryel at the fabulous Great Barn at Headstone Manor. It was such a great venue to work at, but more than that, Sophie & Aryel had planned such a fun day. Jewish weddings always have an unparalleled energy and atmosphere and this one even more so. We love all the epic dancing!
After getting ready at Sophie’s family home in London, we moved over to the Great Barn for all the other events of the day – the Tisch was in the Museum (a wedding venue with its own Museum – how cool!) where Aryel welcomed his friends and family and got to signing the Ketubah before heading over to check on Sophie. We love how at Jewish weddings the bride and the groom are walked down the aisle by their parents. This is such a lovely moment – seeing mum and dad beaming with pride.
The celebrations then really got started with brilliant dance floor action, followed by speeches, followed by more dancing, more speeches, more dancing. If you’re invited to a Jewish wedding as a guest, probably a good idea to work on your cardio before you go – it’s pretty athletic!
Here are some of our favourite pictures from the day:
