We had a lovely trip down to Oxford to shoot Hannah and James’ awesome Isis Farmhouse wedding. Along with our good friends Reel Weddings. We must have brought the northern weather with us, because it chucked it down. The best people to cope with soggy weather? Probably people who live on a boat like these two 🙂
Their boat is named Mudita, meaning ‘joy in the good fortunes of others’. I think this gives you a good idea of the wonderful nature of them both. Pete joined James to photograph him getting ready at home on their boat, while Laura photographed Hannah in a lovely apartment in Oxford.
They had a humanist ceremony on another (pretty big!) boat full of their favourite grown ups, children and dogs. We’ve never photographed a wedding on a boat before! It was so special, and individual, we’d love to do more! Following the ceremony, everyone stayed on the boat as it did a trip up and down the River Isis. It felt like such a privilege to see the Oxfordshire countryside this way. The party then headed Isis Farmhouse for the wedding reception: food, merriment and folk music.
It was so wonderful, here are far too many of our favourites from their wedding.
