Hazel & Sietze’s Wedding at Samlesbury Hall

Hazel and Sietze celebrated their wedding at the beautiful Samlesbury Hall, with a blessing led by Sietze’s father, in both English and Dutch.  It was a fantastic day complete with gorgeous rustic flowers and candles everywhere and a simply spectacular firework display in the evening.  We were even treated to a ‘first look’; a secret rendezvous under the trees when they couldn’t stop smiling at each other 🙂

For the many children who were invited there was an enormous soft play area to keep them entertained while the grown ups drank their mulled wine.  The place was of huge historical interest to lots of them, and they spent much of the day hunting for orbs and ghosts in the notoriously haunted building.  I’ve checked and we have no orbs to report in our photos, so hopefully they had more luck!
