It was so nice to finally meet Nic and Nicole (we’d previously only chatted over Skype as they live in Belgium). They had planned a wonderfully personal wedding in Nic’s home town, and people travelled from far and wide to celebrate with them. It was a real Manchester wedding too, starting off with glorious sunshine but soon turning to grey skies and drizzle 🙂
These two weren’t hung up on the ‘wedding rules’, and decided to get ready together, and walk into the ceremony together, which was lovely. They had a humanist ceremony at The Midland, with personal vows and lots of translation so all the guests knew what was going on. In a nod to Nicole’s Jewish heritage a glass was stomped on at the end, but it was Nicole’s foot which did the stomping 🙂 Another Jewish tradition which we were so happy they included, was the dancing. Not only were Nic and Nicole launched into the air but quite a few of the bridal party too, slightly terrifying but definitely fun!
Congratulations Nic & Nicole! XX
