A gorgeous outdoor ceremony, very little tradition, and loads of emotion! Oh, and a pizza van, which Treana & Rod insisted I sample – it was already a great day, but that pushed it over the edge 🙂
It was a rainy start to the wedding at Gilpin Lake House so the outdoor ceremony looked to be in jeopardy. Thankfully the weather had a change of heart and the torrential downpour was followed by glorious sunshine. The Lake District at its best! Treana & Rod started the day with a tea ceremony with friends and family, before heading outside for the aforementioned pizza. After a quick costume change for the bride, everyone wandered down to the lakeside for a very emotional ceremony (to which their dog was also invited!).
These guys then decided they wanted to go in one of the boats. This was not only absolutely brilliant for pictures but I also loved how they took control of the timeline of their day, so they could simply relax and enjoy it! There was only one speech. But at the end of the meal all the guests were treated to a lovely film made by friends of the bride and groom – everyone cried.
Anyway, enough of this writing malarkey, here are some pictures:
